What do the A, B, AND C mean on the dial of my hot water tank?

I re-lit my pilot light but I don't know where to set my temperature dial at because all I have are dashes and the last three settings are boxes with A, B, and C in them....

If there's a setting below those letters, that would be considered the vacation setting, where it pretty much just runs the pilot and keeps the water just warm enough not to freeze. The A would be a low setting, possibly 110 or so, the B probably around
